adminThis was the first “real” chase day of 2012. Conditions looked perfect for storms to develop around Stratford, Ontario in the early afternoon. I headed out around 2pm aiming for Perth East – just a bit north of stratford – My timing ended up being perfect as the first storms started to fire just as I was arriving in the area. Unfortunately this day I was fairly unprepared, I had no laptop with me for radar, as well my cell phone battery died an hour into the chase – so no radar there either! I had to stop in an apple store in Stratford to purchase a charger and then it was back on the road! This was also the day I discovered that a Porsche Boxster makes a perfectly acceptable offroad vehicle as I had to drive it through a corn field to get around a large tree that was blown over across the road from the wind.
