Supermoon

Tonight is the night of the “Supermoon” also known as the “Perigee” moon happens when the moon’s closest approach to the Earth coincides with a full moon. The perigee and the full moon occured within a minute of each other Saturday night Tonight and the moon seemed as much as 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than other full moons this year, NASA said.

Unfortunately! unless you are shooting with a very long telephoto lens, it is impossible to make the “supermoon” look any larger than a regular moon. Luckily, where nature fails – photoshop steps in! the following images were created by taking a photo of them moon with a 135mm lens, then taking that photo and inserting it into another taken at 45mm. In the following images, the Toronto skyline is the composite photo, while the second is the original “source” photo for the moon.
